Redesigned Clark Stand-Up Forklift Redefines Comfort and Safety

Clark recently redesigned its stand-up forklift based on customer feedback. The result? A best-in-class stand-up forklift, with:

With capacities ranging from 3,000–5,000 lbs., the all-new Clark SES is a versatile, comfortable, dock-to-stock solution that will work well for many applications. Here’s a closer look at what makes the Clark SES a standout stand-up forklift. 

The All-New Clark SES15/25 Stand-Up Forklift

The most significant changes to Clark’s stand-up forklift (compared to the previous model) include a:

Larger Operator Compartment: The floorboard has been expanded from 16 ”x 16” to 19.5” x 22”, creating a workspace that is 60% larger for operators. 

Floating Floorboard: Six rubber isolators eliminate the need for adjustments and parts replacement. The floating floorboard improves ergonomics and reduces operator fatigue.

90-degree Operator Stance: Allows for body position, better ergonomics and fewer blind spots. Improves safety in busy warehouses.

New Control Handle: The adjustable control handle/armrest is similar to both the Crown and Raymond style handles, making it easy for operators to transition to the SES. 

CLARK S-Series Dashboard: The larger display has vibrant colors for easy adjustments and servicing. The dash is also programmable and can be password-protected. Additional Telemetry is available with daily checklists, features that help drivers develop better driving habits and other benefits such as reduced maintenance costs and enhanced productivity.

Safety Bar: A new, ½” Safety Bar at the entrance to the operator compartment disables the truck if the operator steps beyond the compartment.

Improved Design: Eliminates the need for the fourth leg on the OHG that improves visibility and decreases blind spots for the operators.

Clark SES15/25 Safety Features

The SES includes new safety innovations designed to prevent spilled loads, damaged racks and operator injuries. Here are a few ways the SES keeps your people and products safe:

• Real-time fork height monitoring automatically adjusts travel speed, lift speed and tilt range to prevent unsafe movements.
• Automatic fork leveling ensures forks are aligned with the floor to prevent dropped loads and damaged storage racking.
• Lifting is restricted when the mast is tilted beyond a safe range.
• LED lights and red boundary markers improve pedestrian safety.
• Curve control limits speed in turns to reduce the risk of tip-overs
• Operator presence switch prevents operation unless the operator’s foot is correctly positioned. 
• Unobstructed downward and forward view, ideal for maximum safety in high-traffic workspaces.

Improved Operator Comfort and Productivity

As mentioned above, Clark’s new stand-up forklift gives operators more space with a 19.5" x 22" floorboard (a 60% increase). The more natural 90° stance provides better ergonomics, productivity and safety. 

A synchronized armrest and joystick adjust with the operator for ideal hand and arm alignment at every height. The joystick is 2-way (dual-function), which allows for smooth and precise lifting, tilting and lowering.

Other conveniences include: a phone holder, clipboard, USB port, personal fan, storage trays, and a drink holder.
